This ornate arm sconce was designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects to flank the entryway to the inner courtyard at 15 Central Park West. The pair can be seen from the street. The faceted curved arm is custom cast, turned solid brass colonnettes create the lantern’s vertical staves, and heavy gauge applique details lend weight and intricacy to the design. The sconces were finished in a hand-applied antique patina, which was intended to age naturally over time.
