This ornate two-arm wall sconce was part of an award-winning installation for the Virginia State Capitol Restoration in 2006. It was specified for historical accuracy in keeping with the Capitol’s original Jeffersonian design. Acanthus motifs, dogwood flowers (the Virginia state flower), and acorn finial custom designed and cast for the project. Hand cut open top clear frosted glass lenses with hand-wheel engraved dogwood motif. Finish to replicate historic finishes achieved in a rough textured aged bronze with hand-relieved highlights.
