Gentle curves and tastefully chosen shapes give this family of fixtures an identity which is simultaneously unique and perfectly balanced within the hall’s interior design.
The fixtures Glavé & Holmes designed for Christopher Newport University’s new science building were uniquely devised to coordinate with the fittings and interior design of the space. We particularly enjoy the way they pick up details in the staircase railings and harmonize with the overall shape and proportion of the rooms. It is the decorative detailing in the family of custom fixtures that we remember best. They challenged our production team just enough to make them memorable, and the results in the space are spectacular. When we see the way lighting fixtures both accentuate and are enhanced by the spaces in which they are installed, we appreciate the power of good design.
