While the fixtures received vast improvements in performance and efficiency, they remained seemingly unaltered as we were successful in maintaining the historic aesthetics of each fixture.
As part of the comprehensive restoration of the Wyoming State Capitol Building, over 700 historic fixtures needed to be restored or re-created. This included cleaning and replicating intricate brass castings as well as reproducing hundreds of ornate lenses for a number of the historic light fixtures found throughout the public spaces and corridors in the Capitol, including the Senate and House Chambers. (See our blog post during production.)
We were also challenged with the very rare task of retrofitting all of the existing fixtures with integral chip-on-board LED modules. While the fixtures received vast improvements in performance and efficiency, they remained seemingly unaltered, as we were successful in maintaining the historic aesthetics of each fixture.
