University of Michigan West Quad Restoration, Ann Arbor, MI
Restoration & custom lighting: Historic bronze post lanterns and sconces, aged verdigris patina to be conserved and preserved (matched where needed for structural repairs required to restore integrity), frosted clear seedy acrylic lenses, induction lamping; replication sconces, new custom hexagonal ceiling drums, and pendant in dark oil-rubbed bronze patina.
This post mount lantern will be repaired and relamped with long lasting induction lamping. Hinged lens access panel stands open.
New custom ceiling fixtures are lit for final quality control review.
A larger octagonal and small hexagonal ceiling drum will provide nice damp location lighting in a breezeway and portico.
New ceiling fixture detail: heavy gauge solid brass, hand-applied oil-rubbed patina, and frosted clear seedy acrylic lenses.
