Two recent projects that we had the pleasure to be a part of were awarded 2020 Palladio Awards. The Dickies Arena (David M. Schwarz Architects Inc.) in Fort Worth, TX won for New Design & Construction—more than 30,000 square feet, while the Cincinnati Union Terminal (John G. Waite Associates, Architects and GBBN) won for Restoration and Renovation.
We were honored with the opportunity to recreate this pendant for the FEMA campus in Emmitsburg, MD. As the original fixture was hand-made of plaster in 1891, the replication process posed some unique challenges and extreme care was taken to avoid further degradation of the original material. The original components were carefully disassembled and painstakingly repaired before being used to create molds for all new cast resin components…
