United States Supreme Court

In 2005, Crenshaw restored and replicated historic pendants and created new historic lighting for the Supreme Court of the United States Modernization Project under the guidance of lighting design firm MCLA and Architect RTKL. The new historic lighting is a family of high-performance, period-style bowls with updated compact fluorescent lamping. These provide energy-efficient lighting and improved light levels, all with a historic fixture design in keeping with the Supreme Court’s neoclassical aesthetic.

In 2023 Crenshaw as again selected to produce more of these elegant designs.
